​Using the Stoke School Wireless Connection.
Start up your laptop.
Connect to the Internet. (Your laptop may be connected now. Check if it loads to a new webpage.)
If no connection, then select
Tools
from the menu bar.
Select
Internet options
From the list of tabs choose
connections
Check that never dial a connection is 'checked'.
Next check the
LAN
(Local Area Network) box.
Check that the Proxy server is 'checked'. Change that...it should now be unchecked (17-3-2010)
Check to see if you are connected to the internet. If not.... then...
From the menu choose
Connect to
Select
"Wireless Network Connection"
Choose "stoked" (You may have to 'refresh' the list of connections).
Click 'connect '.
For the security key, contact Andrew, Gaye, Pete or Terry or.......(it will not be posted or emailed).
Now,
Use
your internet connection!
